ACCOUNTING MANAGER / Smaller Company Hands-On Leadership Role


Our client is seeking to fill the role of Accounting Manager. The organization is smaller but growing at a rapid pace and plans are to double revenue in the next 5 years! This highly visible role will have the advantage of being able to get involved with all areas of Accounting and Finance. The ideal candidate should have strong US GAAP knowledge, good knowledge of finance and accounting for a manufacturing company, mindset of process improvement and exceptional and excellent teamwork skills to work with the accounting team and other departments. Manufacturing experience is required.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Oversight of general ledger maintenance, including chart of accounts and statement preparation.

  • Coordinate and sign off on monthly close to ensure an accurate and timely close process.

  • Analyze complex transactions and provide guidance to staff regarding appropriate general ledger entries.

  • Lead monthly and annual financial close processes ensuring accurate and timely results.

  • Prepare, review and analyze financial statements, and produce standard reports for management on a monthly basis.

  • Provide the necessary analysis to explain budget and forecast variances.

  • Prepare account reconciliations and review reconciliations prepared by others on a monthly basis.

  • Assist in coordination and preparation for the interim and annual audit.

  • Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Lead preparation of annual plans/budgets including functional project plans, functional budgets, balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flow.

  • Provide in-year projections and outlook, producing forecasted financial statements.

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office desired, especially advanced-level Excel skills.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA / CPA highly desirable.

  • 5+ years of post-graduate Accounting experience.

  • 2+ years of team leadership/supervisor/management experience

  • Strong financial statement knowledge, including consolidation and cash flows, as well as

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.

  • Manufacturing industry experience required.


COMPENSATION: $100K to $115K and Hybrid Work Model
