Owns relationship with 3PL providers (warehousing, inventory, ocean freight, LTL/TL). Manages and ensures the accuracy of product storage and warehouse inventories. Supervises the process of importing and exporting product. Resolves shipment quality discrepancies. Complies with federal, state, and industry regulations; ensures adherence to requirements and advises management on needed actions. Negotiates and settles shipping damage claims, rejections, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations working with each site. Identifies and recommends suppliers by investigating potential qualified bidders, researching markets, and services available. Own and manage detailed and comprehensive supplier agreements that address all relevant areas of performance delivery. Develops a mange monthly scorecard of Key Performance Indicators with our plants and with our logistics suppliers. Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQ) or Proposals (RFP) collaborating with key stakeholders. Evaluates bids for standard and non-standard items. Manage agreements that accurately reflect price, schedule, terms, and conditions as negotiated with suppliers. Monitors and evaluates supplier performance. Facilitates the resolution of issues by arranging and participating or leading conferences between suppliers and company personnel. Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Participates in continuous improvement activities and provides suggestions for cost reduction and improved efficiency. Must haves: ??? Hand on logistics experience when it comes to truckload LTS shipments ??? Have to understand what a 3PL is (third party logistics company) 70-80% is logistics ??? Must be an influences, effective communication, and interface skills; vet potential suppliers, negotiate (commodities, 40% of role, role mostly focused around logistics) ??? Analytical skills-know how to you excel, go through calculations, make presentations based off data; data driven presentations; Understand how cost is built; experience with importing ??? At least 5 years' experience ??? Monthly scorecards (3rd bullet) ??? 4-year degree; open to the type of degree/discipline o 2-yr degree w experience ??? 3PL with ocean freight experience ??? 3PL breakdown o Malarck - our freight person for AFT o Trans-International-billing/auditing of freight bills o Ocean Freight - largest supplier for CB; 2 containers a week (SeaCo) Plus: ??? Can do without the professional certifications, but really prefer to see that ??? RFQs/RFP ??? Supplier certification ??? Monitor supplier performance; we can teach them, and we have things in place

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related Business field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Logistics, Supply Chain concepts and methodologies in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of 3PL provider relationships and services. Ability and willingness to travel both domestic and international as required; capable of obtaining a passport. Strong organization skills with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word. Highly skilled in Excel; able to produce spreadsheets and calculations as required. Preferred Qualifications: Professional certifications from APICS, ISM, or CIPS is a plus. Exposure to LEAN Manufacturing, problem solving methodology (8D, A3, Fishbone, 5-Why).
