Overview:

The Trust Administration Sr. Rep is an essential support role for Securian Trust's tax reporting, new business onboarding, and business operations functions. This associate will collaborate closely with key areas of the trust company, and play an important role in the day to day operations and success of the team. This position offers exposure to a broad range of financial services knowledge, and is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn and grow in the financial services and trust administration space.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

  • Manage tax activities related to fiduciary and individual returns for trust accounts and trust clients.

  • Coordinate the tracking and resolution of tax questions as they arise throughout the year.

  • Manage the operational components of the tax season in conjunction with multiple vendors.

  • Support the trust administration team with cash movement creation and approval.

  • Support IRA RMD (Required Minimum Distribution) management.

  • Assist with preparation of new business paperwork.

  • Provide ad-hoc reporting support to all departments.

  • Prepare and review monthly reconciliations (fee revenue, advisor compensation, suspense accounts, tax withholding and cash management).

  • Perform special accounting reports for trust accounts as required by the Courts.

    Qualifications:

  • Financial services experience.

  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities while working independently and as part of a team.

  • An interest in learning investment and securities knowledge of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and alternative assets.

  • Experienced in the Microsoft Suite of applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Access.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical ability.

  • Customer service skills to maintain positive client and inter-department relationships.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Banking or trust operations experience.

  • Knowledge of SEI SWP, SAP Business Objects, other trust accounting systems, and trading platforms.

    Physical Job Requirements:

  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day.

  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.

  • Ability to utilize telephone for 4-6 hours per day.
