A Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides care to individuals served in our community. The people we serve are vulnerable adults and children in need of support in their daily activities.

The right person for this position would be eager to help in the following areas:

Assisting individuals with personal hygiene care.
Assisting individuals with daily routines, administering medications, etc.
Supporting individuals with their daily household living needs.
Assisting individuals in the community and participating in recreation and leisure activities.
Assisting individuals by promoting self-advocacy.
Assisting individuals with financial management.

What you will bring to our team:

A DSP must understand the different needs of individuals with disabilities. As a DSP you must have the ability to exercise flexibility and assertiveness, have a positive work ethic, problem solve, and navigate crisis situations effectively. A DSP must also be able to work without direct supervision.

Other requirements you'll bring:

Possess a valid driver's license and meet qualifiers to be insured by EON Inc.'s vehicle insurance provider.
Must not be disqualified by appropriate criminal background studies.
Complete all orientation and training needs as written in policy.
Meet the physical requirements as outlined in this position description and physical assessment form (pushing/pulling, lifting, bending, etc.).
Possess good oral and written communication and organizational skills.
Able to read and write in English.

This is an hourly, non-exempt, position reporting to the Community Supports Supervisor. Full-time and part-time positions available with flexible scheduling to work 8 - 40 hours a week. Morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts available (includes every other weekend).
