Cart Attendant

The Cart Attendant will provide a friendly and efficient customer experience. The position is responsible for keeping shopping carts, flatbed carts as well as shopping baskets available for the customers throughout the store.

1. Provide assistance to customers, as needed, to ensure they are using carts and flatbeds in a safe manner.
2. Ensure parking lot and campus grounds are clean and free of clutter and debris.
3. Collect and transport carts and flatbeds in a safe manner to the cart room and remove all debris from carts.
4. Assist with needs including back-up cashier and carry outs as needed.
5. Ensure Restrooms remain clean, clutter free and fully stocked during operating hours.
6. Help maintain supplies for cash registers and restrooms such as shopping bags, paper towels and hand soap.
7. Assist in keeping check lanes free of returned product, hangers and trash.
8. Ensure sidewalks are clean and clear of clutter, safety concerns including trip hazards and icy spots are addressed quickly and appropriately.
9. Ensure sidewalk displays are kept clean and presentable condition, report any missing signage or displays to Manager on Duty.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including days, nights, weekends and holidays is preferred.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
