Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

Location: Maple Grove, MN

Type: Permanent/Direct Hire

Looking for an experienced, driven individual to lead the inspection workstream for next generation of our clients flagship device. Will be working with a tight knit team in a fast-paced early product development environment, working cross functionally to deploy technologies while influencing specifications for manufacturability. Success will have direct impact on the implant design and processes for future of a flagship device.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assesses process capabilities, prioritizes process improvement opportunities, and innovates and implements process improvements on platform or derivative projects.
Applies technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling and/or automation.
Works with internal & external equipment developers to assess new technologies and applicability
Plans, organizes, and conducts all aspects of technical reviews.
Provides Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package.
Contributes ideas to or generates Intellectual Property submissions.
Trains and/or provides work direction to technicians and engineers and may train manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation.
May serve as a core team member or extended team member on new product projects.
Oversees development builds associated with the project using special work requests.
Executes the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems.

Required qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development environment demonstrating process improvements
Bachelor's Degree in engineering

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with improving/developing measurement systems
Working in a regulated environment
Experience with Cognex software, CT scanning technology, data management tools
Demonstrated competency in statistical analysis and ability to deploy to guide decision making
Experience communicating with broader technical teams to gather input for technology assessments, give updates and speak to development challenges
Demonstrated ability to take manual process to semi or full automation
Proven ability to influence design for manufacturability
Cross functional experience in medical device product development
