SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager

The ideal SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager will have familiarity of public filings and SEC regulations with an emphasis on stock-based compensation and equity accounting. The position will take responsibility for all stock-based compensation and equity accounting. Additional responsibilities include preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures and variance analyses. This position will work across the finance organization as well as other key teams such as Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, People and Culture, and other business partners. What will the SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager do?



  • Monitor, track and report all stock option, restricted stock, restricted stock unit and other equity award grants, modifications, exercises, forfeitures, and cancellations across the Company, issued by the parent and subsidiaries.

  • Record stock-based compensation expense entries on a monthly/quarterly basis.

  • Coordinate with the team to prepare stock-based compensation (U.S. GAAP) related disclosures for the Company's quarterly and annual financial statements.

  • Coordinate with the team on drafting technical accounting memos for complex stock-based compensation and equity arrangements, as well as updating stock-based compensation accounting policies as necessary.

  • Calculate and report on quarterly earnings per share (EPS).

  • Prepare supporting schedules for statement of changes in stockholder's equity including NCI.

  • Assist in enhancing and documenting equity-related procedures, policies, and controls.

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and footnote disclosures.

  • Assist in preparation and review of consolidated flux analysis of quarterly financial results.

  • Support the internal and external quarterly and annual review/audit engagements by preparing PBC lists and schedules.

  • Monitor and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting and disclosure requirements.

  • Oversight of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Senior




What we need in an SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA designation required



  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in public accounting (Big4 or top 10) and industry mix

  • Proficient knowledge of U.S. GAAP, specifically as it relates to stock-based compensation (ASC 718) accounting and earnings per share (ASC 260)



  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to manipulate large data sets

  • Ability to travel internationally on occasion

  • Ability to work early hours to accommodate team in UK

  • Eastern or Central time zone preferred
