What you do:

Technical expert researching, analyzing, and making recommendations on and supporting new growth opportunities for the company. Assist in development of assumptions, financial projections, and other inputs to strategy or business case development to support entering new product lines or markets. Synthesize information from external and internal resources to assist the company in making decisions. Collaborates with other business areas and partners to understand and assist in assessing opportunities and risk profile of the undertaking and assist in developing analysis to ensure ELG understands what it means to get into the new market or new product line.


Financial, strategic, and technical analysis in support of the company's growth initiatives - assist with early analysis, development of business cases, memos, PowerPoint decks, or other means to communicate results and financial implications, as well as recommendations for new products or new market entry or other corporate initiatives to senior management and financial business partners. Lead or collaborate with other financial areas to provide technical analysis and support for the sales and marketing areas in developing content, promotional materials, presentations or responses to prospective and existing clients.

Implementation - assist with and manage projects related to the assessment of financial tools, advice models, illustrations, marketing approaches, website approach and content, etc. for accuracy in content and in purpose, financial integrity and general regulatory compliance (or the need to bring SME or legal into the discussions).

General business support - assist with overall team functions such as vendor management, onboarding new team members, planning and carrying out periodic strategy and team meetings and reporting results.


What you bring:

6-7 years' experience required; Experience in financial services, defined contribution or insurance industry or other related field; Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and research abilities

Bachelor's degree required in Finance, mathematics, economics, actuarial science, physics, engineering, or related field

Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and at least one programming language

Ability to communicate complex topics in credible, persuasive way to varying audiences

Understanding of life and annuity product mechanics or impacts on personal financial plans, fundamentals of insurance product pricing

CFA, ASA or progress toward ASA/FSA, CPA, MBA preferred
