Hey! I'm currently hiring for a process engineer position for a medical device manufacturer in Milwaukee. The ideal candidate would be able to interface with the customer to determine manufacturability of a high-mix, low-volume spread of products, as well as tighten the efficiency of production processes and oversee the equipment layout on the manufacturing floor.
Primary Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing electrical medical device systems.
- Creating electrical assembly work instructions and test protocols.
- Executing test protocols and creating detailed test reports.
- Developing manufacturing processes according to global medical device engineering codes and standards.
- Completing engineering task due dates per project management requirements.
- Ensuring that medical system processes are in line with MPE customer requirements and safety standards.
- Collaborating with MPE and customer engineers to launch and train new medical device system processes.
- Identifying needs on equipment, calculating costs, and assisting with budget preparation.
- Completing and monitoring inspection plans and test results via medical device history records (DHR).
- Facilitating and leading new product process failure modes and effects analysis (PFMEA).
Required Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
- Bachelors' degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering.
- Must be able to create and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Significant hands-on electrical engineering experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be able to work within a team environment.
- Medical device experience preferred.
- Electrical Solidworks CAD experience preferred.
- PFMEA experience preferred.
- Experience with IEC 60601, 62353, 61010 preferred.
- Experience with ISO 15066, 10218 preferred.
- Experience with IEC 11073 preferred.
- Experience with advanced energy devices such as monopolar and bipolar, and advanced energy preferred.
