Assistant Project Managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Working alongside the Project Manager to plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way.

Our client is one of the top ranked General Contractors in the Twin Cities. They are looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. With an incredibly healthy pipeline for 2024 and beyond, this hire in integral for their commercial construction team.

Description

  • Completes materials "take-offs" and establishes cost estimates
  • Reviews project proposal, drawings and plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
  • Develops relationships with subcontractors and maintains lists of subcontractors that perform quality work
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
  • Prepares daily, weekly, monthly schedule to support and preserve the Contract Project Schedule
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required
  • Dictates or prepares project reports for management, client, or others
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems

Profile

  • 2+ years of construction experience
  • Strong background in Commercial Construction
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • The desire to grow their career professionally
  • The desire to drive the growth of a highly reputable General Contractor
  • The desire to mentor some of the younger Project Managers
  • Strong track record with client relationships

Job Offer

  • Base salary of $70,000-$95,000, depending on experience
