The Director of Construction will lead the construction department by establishing high performance standards amongst the team. The individual hired will need to be a "doer" as well as a leader on all construction projects and initiatives in the operations team.

Client Details

My client is a Milwaukee based General Contractor doing over $500M in annual revenue. With a backlog of projects for the next 3+ years as well as opportunities to launch into various markets, this well-known construction company is looking for a leader that aligns with their culture and growth plans.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Be a leader for all construction activities for the company
  • Plan, staff, and manage projects alongside the Project Executives and Senior Project Managers
  • Evaluate development opportunities
  • Design, implement and manage best construction practices
  • Design and implement a preconstruction system and process with the Director of Preconstruction
  • Feasibility and site construction due diligence
  • Predevelopment estimating on new development opportunities
  • Train staff when necessary
  • Conduct reviews and performance evaluations with staff annually
  • Attend networking and bid events
  • Additional duties as assigned

Profile

What our client is looking for:

  • 10+ years in a Project Management capacity
  • 7+ years with a General Contractor (preferably in Milwaukee, Wisconsin)
  • Ability to oversee a $5M+ project
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Procore experience or something similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
