Corporate Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Corporate Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team.

The Corporate Staff Accountant will provide financial information to management by compiling and analyzing accounting information. This position with work with the accounting team and have the following core responsibilities:

• Accounting and reporting for multiple subsidiary entities
• Preparation of adjusting journal entries and accruals
• Assist with the monthly closing process and general ledger reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow
• Research and explain variances with previous years and budget
• Contribute to the consolidated financial statement process
• Preparation of Sales and Use Tax returns
• Assist with the annual financial audit
• Providing data for the preparation of corporate tax returns and estimated tax payments
• Assist in the calculation of shareholder tax distributions and dividends
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities Required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable creating and presenting financial statements
• Understanding of individual and corporate income taxes
• Familiarity with Sales and Use tax in multiple state and local jurisdictions
• Understanding of foreign currencies and exchange rates
• Ability to analyze financial statement variances to budget and prior year and to present summarized variances
• Experience working with Microsoft excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• A minimum of five (5) years of Accounting experience

Certificates, licenses, training, or other job-related requirements

• Valid Driver's License
