SUMMARY

Perform month-end activities by posting required entries to general ledger accounts and preparing account reconciliations; prepare and analyze various financial reports related to operating expenses; over-site of the property accounting and customer tooling areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Perform month-end closing and financial analysis procedures

Assist in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets

Assist in the preparation on monthly bank reconciliations.

Assist in the annual/ quarterly audit process

Prepare month end analysis and reports related to operating expenses

Oversee the property accounting and customer tooling areas including:

Process Program Releases and Capital Requisitions

The analysis and close out construction and tooling in Progress Accounts

The assignment of both book and tax fixed assets lives

Assist in the preparation of the annual property tax returns

The preparation of monthly reports for fixed asset additions and customer tooling in progress

The coordination of the analysis of tooling costs, gains/losses between the finance department and the product business teams

The coordination of the analysis of fixed asset costs between all of the locations (including Mexico) and the finance department

Establish initial customer credit limits

Collect past due customer invoices

Investigate and resolve disputed deductions

Respond to and Maintain customer correspondence and phone inquiries

Process customer credit memos

Offset and apply credits and debits on the AS/400 computer system

Post cash receipts to customer accounts

Correct invoice errors

Periodically prepares manual customer invoices (e.g. tooling)

Invoice processing on the AS400 system

Capital Expenditure Survey

Assist in Insurance Renewal for Property coverage

Qualifications

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Indirectly supervises one employee in the financial department.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting from four-year college or university.

One to two years related experience and/or training perferred.

CPA or CPA Candidate preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - None required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong PC skills and experience needed (Windows, Excel, etc.)
