As a Tax Associate, you will spend time on a variety of tax matters that make an impact and drive real value to the enterprise. You will have a chance to spend meaningful time working in and learning multiple areas of tax during the early stages of your career at UHG. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of income tax provisions for financial statements
  • Ensure all tax filings are compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations Assist with tax controversy matters, including audits and notices
  • Assist with tax planning, mergers & acquisitions, integrations, etc.
  • Conducting tax research and draft supporting memorandums
  • Work with the technology that supports the tax function
  • Assist with a variety of international tax and transfer pricing matters

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent degree
  • Solid computer literacy including proficiency with MS Excel
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Law degree, graduate tax degree, or equivalent degree
  • Proven solid analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and manage workload while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated solid organizational and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work as an integral part of a team
