Our client is an established technology solutions company that focuses on designing and integrating best-in-class, automated systems to manufacturing clients across many fields. With over two decades of proven success in the space, they are experiencing rapid growth and expansion. They are looking to hire an Electrical Engineering Manager to oversee engineering and implementation of industrial control systems.


The Electrical Engineering Manager will lead a team in designing and implementing automation solutions within machinery. This individual will support throughout all lifecycle phases and will focus on developing new applications, project management, schematics, commissioning, and people management. They will work in a fast-paced, agile environment and stay on the edge of new technology and strategies.

Focus:

  • Oversee the design and implementation of control systems and automated applications specific to customer and project requirements.
  • Lead improved troubleshooting and error response within the plant PLCs, HMIs, and automated systems.
  • Manage direct reports and a oversee the electrical engineering team throughout implementation.
  • Use AutoCAD to prepare detailed control system wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, pneumatic schematics, etc.
  • Identify inefficiencies and analyze root cause and solutions.
  • Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and with proper documentation.
  • Support sales in the initial project quoting process and strategy phase.
  • Review project implementation for compliance with engineering principles and standards.
  • Stay up to date on the innovative technologies to propose and prioritize upgrades.


Skill Set

  • 10+ years of experience automating and implementing controls in an industrial setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Hands on experience with programming and hardware including, PLCs, HMI programming, process controls, robotics, network products, and protocols.
  • Firm knowledge of technical tools and techniques within AutoCAD, AB, PLCs, Siemens, robots, and IoT networks.
  • Excellent project management experience with the ability to lead a team through full-cycle implementations.
  • Proven ability to write diagrams related to control schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with Ignition software or similar, a plus.
  • Strong collaboration, multi-tasking, organizational, and communication skills.
