Purpose of Position

Turbine AATD/Simulator Instructor will conduct CRJ flight and ground trainer operations in accordance with FAR 141 FAR 61.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and incorporate instruction aids.
  • Administer stage and evaluation checks.
  • Standardize instructors.
  • Monitor flight training records and progress.
  • Conduct review boards.
  • Monitor curriculum and suggest changes when necessary.
  • Recommend improvements for training and safety.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain policies and procedures.
  • Assist Dispatch and Test Center
  • Conduct tours and Promotional CRJ Activities
  • Conduct ground, FTD and flight instruction.
  • Follow prescribed curriculum.
  • Maintain student records.
  • Maintain superior training standards.
  • Maintain safe operations.
  • Maintain an appropriate level of contact time as per Assistant Chief Flight Instructor.
Required Competencies
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to make sound training and safety decisions.
  • Good team building skills.
  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to perform without direct supervision.
  • Ability to learn UND training course outlines and computer systems.
Minimum Requirements
  • B.S. Degree in Aviation or related Field or equivalent flight experience
  • 2 years' experience as a Flight Instructor.
  • FAA Certifications:
    • Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument single and multi-engine ratings.
    • CFI - Airplane with instrument and multi-engine ratings.
  • Experience with FAR's and Part 141 Pilot School Operations.
  • Successful completion of a criminal history records check.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience flying higher performance/altitude turbine aircraft.
  • Part 121 or 135 Experience.
