Description:
SHINE Technologies is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to focus on processing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other accounting transactions, including General Ledger Account Reconciliations. This position will interact with all levels and areas of the company ensuring internal processes and controls are being followed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process vendor invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents in an accurate and timely manner.
- Partner with the Procurement Teams to resolve any discrepancies.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements against Accounts Payable records. Contact vendors as necessary to resolve statement issues.
- Set up new vendors in accounting (ERP) software.
- Create payment templates in bank.
- Prepares and processes weekly check runs or electronic payment batches.
- Reconcile monthly cash activity in ERP with bank transactions.
- Apply customer payments against open invoice/receivable balances.
- Recommends process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintains strong working relationships with internal departments.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience, with a strong focus on accounts payable and receivable processing and reconciliation
- Demonstrated skill in the use of accounting software, spreadsheets, word processing, and email
- Organized, meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments
- Regular, predictable attendance
- General understanding of basic accounting principles
- Communication skills-good listener, clear directions
- Willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job
Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant's ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls.
