The Division of Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) is a full-spectrum service organization that builds, maintains, and operates the physical environment of UW-Madison in support of the university's education, research, and outreach activities. We are responsible for everything from the building projects that change the face of campus to the flowers that beautify the grounds.

UW Transportation Services is a department within Facilities Planning and Management (FP&M) on the UW-Madison campus. We serve a variety of customers with a diverse set of parking and transportation needs.

Transportation Services is responsible for the coordination and administration of all transportation-related services for the UW campus community. Primary functions include the sale/management of parking permits, special event coordination, maintenance and enforcement, construction coordination, lot and booth operations, citation payments and appeals, information technology, financial, transportation planning, and development of multimodal options.


About the Parking Enforcement Supervisor (Field Services Supervisor) position:

The Parking Enforcement Supervisor is a important part of our Transportation Department within Facilities Planning and Management Division for UW-Madison. This individual will primarily be responsible for overseeing enforcement operations on campus and managing the day-to-day operations of Field Services. The position requires effective team-building skills, strong verbal and written communication, and attention to detail. A strong candidate should be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in an efficient manner.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises and schedules field service parking staff and oversees collections operations. Serves as a liaison to the department and the general public.

  • 30% Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
  • 15% Assigns staff tasks, responsibilities, and performance standards to ensure efficiency and consistency
  • 15% Provides comprehensive onboarding and routine training to employees on a variety of complex permit, enforcement regulations, policies, and job requirements including communication, conflict management, consistency in rule interpretation, and customer service
  • 15% Establishes and maintains regular team meetings to communicate, problem-solve, and make decisions regarding daily operations and seeks input for departmental policies and procedures
  • 5% Reviews, evaluates, and seeks customer input to continuously improve the parking enforcement programs
  • 10% Coordinates the closures and communications of campus parking area events and maintenance
  • programs.
  • 10% Provide updates in data and reports of parking enforcement operations to help guide and direct the
  • parking enforcement program.


It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

-1 Year of parking operations or code enforcement experience

-Driver's License in accordance to UW- Risk Management

SALARY:

Minimum $60,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Depending on Qualifications

The minimum hourly rate for this position is $28.85 an hour (salary of $60,000 per year), but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
