Structural Engineer

We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the construction industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Structural Engineer to their team. Responsibilities include:

1) Perform engineering calculations to ensure all construction projects meet or exceed structural integrity and regulatory requirements

2) Perform necessary design analysis and calculations for compliance with various codes, standards, and regulations to meet the established criteria for specific projects

3) Perform structural design and analysis of steel, concrete, and wood structural elements utilizing structural software

4) Prepare structural designs, plans, specifications for residential and commercial buildings

5) Manage assigned work and activities and coordinating project team responsibilities

6) Coordinate with a multi-discipline design team for a variety of different clients and industries

7) Perform structural design and analysis calculations to generate drawings and other technical duties

8) Conduct shop drawing reviews and field inspections

9) Provide overall responsibility for design budgets and schedules on assigned projects

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in structural engineering
