Summer Garden Assistant

Temporary Part-time Position at Happy Dancing Turtle Resilient Living Campus in Pine River, MN.

Seasonal position available immediately for a hands-on gardener. This position will last through the growing/harvesting season.

Duties include:
*Assist with planting harvesting garden & hoop house produce
*Prepare produce for consumers: cutting, cleaning, bagging
*Assist with weeding, pruning, transplanting, etc.
*Assist with general groundskeeping as directed, i.e., mowing, trimming, light landscaping duties

Requires:
*Interest in sustainability
*Positive attitude
*Willing to learn/open-mind
*Good listening & communication skills
*Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
*Ability to meet physical demands of position
*Availability for entire growing season (June - September)

Physical Demands:
*Able to work in extreme weather conditions - hot, cold, wet, etc.
*Able to be on feet for extended periods of time
*Able to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, grasp, reach
*Lift up to 50 lbs on occasional basis
