Job Title: Employment & Training Manager

Reports to: Director of Employment

Status: Full Time; Exempt (Salary)

Location: East Side Neighborhood Services Hybrid (in office + remote)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Employment & Training Manager has primary responsibility for the successful implementation of ESNS Career Certification and Training (CC & T) Programs. Current Training Programs include Nursing Assistant Training and On-Ramp Industrial Arts Exploration. Other training options may be added. The CC& T manager will partner with and assist in other ESNS Employment Programs as needed.

DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Is responsible for, but not limited to the following functions:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • Manages training and certification programs.
  • Develops recruitment strategies to meet contracted program results.
  • Develops partnerships with training institutions and employers to provide opportunities for training, employment and program advice and support.
  • Assist Employment Director and Executive Staff in efforts to integrate activities of ESNS Employment Services to develop new efficiencies and improved delivery of service.
  • Work with the Employment Director and Development Team on grant writing and other fundraising efforts.
  • Supervise up to two Employment Navigators.
  • Work with Employment Director in managing program budgets. Able to learn budget management skills.
  • Assist in providing direct service to employment participants as needed.
  • Support agency wide efforts as required.
Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelors degree is preferred but degree is not required.
  • Global Career Development Certificate (GCDF) or willing to obtain GCDF
Experience:
  • 3 years experience in Employment and Workforce Development Services
  • Experience in implementing and managing employment and work force development programming
  • Experience in networking in private, public, and non-profit sector
  • Knowledgeable and local labor economics and employment trends
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively across sectors
  • 5 years of professional working experience, preferably in a Non Profit setting
  • Professional level skills in Office 365, TEAMS, ZOOM, or willing to learn
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working Environment:

The Employment department work week is a hybrid model. The in office requirement for this position will vary based on the needs of the program. This could vary from 1 5 days in the office.

Compensation: $50,000-$55,000 dependent upon qualifications.
