Direct hire position with a Fortune 500 manufacturer that globally sells custom-designed large agricultural machinery and equipment, and has many well-known established brands.

LOCATION: Southern Minnesota (no remote available) within minutes of Spirit Lake, Iowa (E ast Okoboji Lake, in the Iowa Great Lakes region).

OVERVIEW:
  • Implement quality assurance standards, processes, and controls
  • Develop methods for inspection, testing sampling, and training
  • Provide quality assurance support for production
  • Evaluate production capabilities and recommend improvements
  • Respond to customer issues and assist in maintaining Quality Management System
  • Lead production team resolving issues
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Facilitate Quality Improvement Team meetings
  • Support Quality Inspectors and department leads; maintain action registers and charts for meetings
  • Perform audits, complete inspection (product operation, certification, and test procedures), document and attest to the quality of products for shipment
  • Verify accuracy of quality requirements in QMS, inspection sheets, engineering documents, and sampling sheets used during inspecting parts or units
  • Use basic precision measuring tools in visual inspection and for identifying discrepancies with specifications and blueprints
  • Document deficiencies that do not meet specifications
  • Troubleshoot daily repetitive issues and determine the root cause of the problem
  • Initiate problem-solving procedures to resolve issues and work cross-functionally with appropriate departments
  • Assist Quality, Manufacturing, and Design Engineering during pilot runs of prototypes
  • Determine quality requirements or test procedures to add to Quality Requirements
  • Interact with Service Department to exchange quality information for continuous improvement
  • Communicate with documents, emails, and charts to convey quality information
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement by submitting Change Requests and ensuring proper implementation
  • Initiate deviations (non-conformities) for parts, assemblies, or machines
  • Initiate Corrective/Preventative Action notices to ensure quality processes and products
  • Provide training on product operation or information required on a "need-to-know" status
