Reserve Advisors is an Engineering Services firm that provides Reserve Studies to our clients around the world. We are headquartered in Milwaukee, WI and are expanding our finance department to include a new role of Sr. Accountant to support our incredible growth.
Position Title: Sr. Accountant
Position Overview
The company's expansion provides an opportunity to improve the financial reporting functions providing an opportunity for a talented person to support the Controller with complete, timely and accurate recording and analysis of all activities that affect the financial records.
Duties and Responsibilities
Understanding of Accrual Basis Accounting and familiarity with Accruals, Prepaid, and Fixed Asset Management.
Perform the Month-end Close Process and prepare preliminary Financial Statements
Entry of financial activity into the accounting system
Reconciliation of accounts, including cash balances and credit cards
Manage Audit/Review Requests
Processing Accounts Payable including recording vendor invoices, obtaining approvals, and ensuring timely payment and budget impact
Recording, assuring appropriate documentation, and obtaining approval of employee expense reimbursements, and corporate credit cards
Managing and tracking leases/compliance
Performing Accounts Receivable functions: Cash and Revenue Recognition
Manage follow-up on past due customer invoices
Professional Communication to manage and respond to emails and other requests from vendors, customers, and internal team members delivering exemplary service
Complete Payroll and manage time and benefit tracking systems
Assure timely, complete, and accurate recording of all assigned functions
Completion of various projects that may be assigned
Additional duties as may be assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
4+ Years' Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field of study required
Experience with Audits/Reviews highly preferred
Experience with Systems Selection & Migration highly preferred
Microsoft applications experience, especially Excel for managing accrual tracking
QuickBooks and Sales Force experience a plus but not required.
Paylocity experience a plus
High Degree of Organization and Time Management Skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability
Highly motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
Proven ability to work accurately and with attention to detail
Displays a professional attitude
Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
Experience with outsourced solutions: AP, AR, Expense Reporting, etc.
Working Conditions
Standard office environment with frequent computer use. Occasional necessity to lift and carry packages weighing up to 30 pounds.
