Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Under the direction of the Controller, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the company's accounts receivable. The Account Receivable Specialist will work to ensure customer invoices are paid timely providing the company with proper cash flow.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts via telephone, email and mail.
Provide support and recommendations to Assistant Controller for credit approvals based on customer's D&B reports.
Responsible for the billings related to the Promo department.
Upload monthly account receivable collection details to Dun & Bradstreet reporting system.
Ensure customer sales & use tax exemption certificates are up to date.
Lead the reconciliation of misapplied customer payments.
Assist with the preparation of the monthly borrowing base certificate.
Provide assistance to the Assistant Controller for cash forecasting.
Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for improvement.
Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, comply with nation and local financial requirements.
Follow and comply with all safety, work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Education & Experience
Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent
Strong mathematical skills
Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
Excellent time management and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook and Excel)
Experience in accounts receivable (or accounts payable)
Experience is driving process improvement.
