JOB SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for building and maintaining the data used for regulatory reporting efficiency, project analysis, and ad-hoc reporting analytics.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are essential job responsibilities:

Assist with data aggregation between multiple datasets with varying data structures aimed at creating efficient data streams to expedite Call Report, SEC Reporting, and other Regulatory reporting guidelines.
Initiate and participate in projects providing process improvements, requirements, design, testing and implementation.
Deliver ad-hoc analytics to Reporting Director by request.
Leverage current and new system functionality and apply these capabilities to improve current reporting processes (systems such as Alteryx, Tableau, RPA Tools, etc.).
Evaluate and resolve issues and errors found within databases, maintaining the credibility and integrity of the data.
Design and maintain critical reports used across a multitude of financial topics within the company.
Responsible for breaking down complex datasets by providing detailed analysis and supporting documentation in efficient ways to aid the reporting function.
Collaborate with others in a team setting, either directly or indirectly
Work across many different enterprise systems / processes while maintaining company confidential information standards
Additional related duties as assigned.

KEY JOB BEHAVIORS

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Strong logic-based skills (math, reasoning, analytical, decision-making)
Ability to formulate & execute basic to complex mathematical formulas to perform analysis that supports process efficiency
Understanding of regulatory reporting and software used such as Workiva
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Salesforce and other analytical tools
Higher level proficiency (or ability to build such proficiency) in use of Tableau, Tableau CRMA, Alteryx, and bank based systems (Navigator, Director, Viewpoint, ZM Financial, Business Analytics, Salesforce, etc)

Communication:

Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, specifically, the ability to ask questions about or research business or technical matters, effectively document assumptions, write correspondence and reports to explain procedures and results.

Representation:

Solid judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills to provide product or action-based recommendations to various committees and personnel. Ability to represent the bank in a professional and positive manner.

Compliance:

Uphold the bank's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of the bank.

Attendance:

Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Education Preferred:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting, Data Analytics, or General Business.

Work Experience:

1-5 years of experience in data analytics or finance preferred. Banking industry experience a plus. Big data and data visualization experience is a plus.
