Java Developer

Position: Java Developer IV

Location: Remote (Candidates local to WI preferred but open to 100% remote/out of state)

Duration: 6/30/2024, likely to extend

Pay: $55-$60/hr

Role Summary:

The Java Developer IV will be responsible for developing and supporting Java and JavaScript web applications. They will work on both existing applications, evaluating requirements and implementing enhancements, as well as new applications under the direction of an application architect. The role will involve coding as part of an agile team and implementing modern frameworks and technologies such as Spring Boot and ReactJS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate as a developer and code reviewer on project teams
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept applications to determine technical approach
• Implement new tools and approaches within the SDLC
• Participate in Agile scrum ceremonies
• Work with business representatives to define and refine requirements
• Collaborate with quality assurance team members to deliver testable software

Requirements:

• 4 years of Java development experience
• 3 years of JavaScript experience
• 2 years of SQL experience
• Experience creating web applications
• Familiarity with a front-end JavaScript framework like ReactJS
• Ability to implement unit tests
• Experience documenting or refining systems or requirements
• Proficiency in using Git for version control

Nice to Have:

• Experience with ReactJS or other SPA JavaScript frameworks
• Agile development experience

• Monday-Friday (8 am - 5 pm)
