This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
The student laboratory assistant will assist the nutritional analysis chemistry supervisor and will be trained on various laboratory functions including but not limited to: sample preparation, GC-FID and GC-MS.
Duties & Responsibilities
- 100% - Assist the nutritional analysis chemistry supervisor- (Essential)
- Prepare and analyze samples for analysis by Mass Spectroscopy and other analytic chemistry instrumentation and techniques.
- Various laboratory functions including but not limited to: sample preparation, GC-FID and GC-MS.
- Assist in literature searches, manuscript preparation and standard operating procedure documentation
- Other miscellaneous duties of an analytical chemistry laboratory.

Minimum Requirements
• Majoring or interested in majoring in a STEM related field In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identityand eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Full-time freshman or sophomore undergraduate student
• Ability to work 2-3 years in this position
