Job Description

THE POSITION:

This position is a financial support and insights role to the Professional Services business unit. The Senior Project Accountant is a finance specialist who will lead and provide oversight with the project finances including revenue recognition, billing milestones, and forecasting. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: provide pre-billing information to project managers for review, responsible to send clients timely and accurate invoices and prepare and maintain revenue tracking analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:

Monitors and adjusts related information in D365 to ensure accurate revenue reporting and billing
Reviews and understands project contracts deliverables and statement of work
Maintains knowledge of billing requirements for all contacts for assigned business(es)
Partners with various members in the organization to ensure accurate financial reporting
Monitors and reviews with various members of the business units to ensure accurate revenue reporting and billing
Assists and supports the Project Accountant with the client and project level reconciliations to discuss with Project Leads
Verifies revenue and accruals according to corporate and revenue recognition standards
Generates and processes client invoices and submits to client for payment
Manages justification and validation of time entries, expenses, transfers and write-offs while ensuring appropriate approvals
Manages client accruals and rebates
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording and verifying transactions
Analyzes budget balances, actuals vs. budget, and monthly billings
Maintains financial health of projects by working with assigned business unit team by understanding contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition and billing
Assists with audits, budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end close
All other duties as assigned

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

Travel - 2-5 days per year
Hours - 40 Hours per week, 5 days of the week

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

Education - Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience and/or Training - Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in a finance or accounting department. Experience with revenue recognition concepts, ability to read and understand a contract for billing requirements, and forecasting. Must thrive in a team player environment.
Technology/Equipment - Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Hands on knowledge of accounting software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience and/or Training - Prior experience in Agency and/or Pharmaceutical environment
Licenses/Certificates - CPA License
Technology/Equipment - Prior experience with Microsoft D365

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $81,000 to $113,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
