Job Summary:
Tax Associates will assist in the preparation of federal and state(s) business, individual, and other related tax forms. There will be opportunities for tax planning and research projects throughout the year.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepare business and individual tax returns
Work with managers on maintaining client relationships and meeting various filing deadlines throughout the year
Maintain understanding and knowledge of changes in tax law by reading professional literature or attending tax seminars and training courses.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
General proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to learn from previous experiences and apply knowledge to future assignments.
Quality communication between other staff and clients
Attention to detail and organized.
Be a team player.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required
CPA candidate or licensed or Enrolled Agent preferred
Previous tax preparation preferred
