Position Information

This is a part-time or temporary non-benefited position. Will be hired from May - August at 40+hours/week to help with summer field work.

Description & Details:

The NDSU School of Natural Resource Sciences unit is hiring four summer aid positions to help with entomology field research on sugarbeet insect pests. Responsibilities include:
  • Assistance with insect monitoring, plot maintenance, and field data collection.
  • Conscientiousness, accuracy, attention to detail and a positive attitude are required.
  • One or two overnight trips may occur (lodging is reimbursed and per diem is paid on these overnight trips)

Work Schedule:
  • Typically Monday-Friday at 40 hrs/week
  • Based out of Fargo but will include travel in Red River Valley

Advertised Pay:
  • Starting at $17/hr

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid US driver's license with at least one year of driving experience.
  • Physical ability to do field work and willingness to work long days.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Agriculture- or biology-related major
  • Previous experience with sugarbeet production or agricultural research..
