Job Details

Job Duties:
  • Lead the development of HVAC designs, including creating system narratives, drawings, and specifications for various project types and sizes.
  • Ensure the certification of HVAC system plans.
  • Utilize CAD systems to design heating, ventilation, and air conditioning layouts.
  • Perform calculations to determine heat gain/loss for residential and commercial applications.
  • Collaborate closely and effectively with internal design, construction, and service teams.
  • Assist in preparing conceptual cost estimates for a wide range of HVAC systems.
  • Aid in establishing the HVAC basis of design for different projects.
  • Oversee and participate in quality assurance and quality control processes for assigned work.
  • Interpret complex architectural drawings and 3D models, and perform calculations to support design decisions.
  • Carry out construction administration and field investigation tasks for construction projects.
  • Assist in processing Submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), Change Orders, Bulletins, and Record Drawings.
  • Contribute to the functional testing and commissioning of HVAC systems.

Qualifications:
  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of HVAC systems' proper application.
  • Possess a working knowledge of LEED principles, particularly those related to HVAC design.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of relevant building codes.
  • Have experience in interpreting complex architectural drawings and 3D models, and performing calculations to support design decisions.
  • Hold a Professional Engineer's License or a State Licensed Designer of Mechanical Systems Stamp.
