Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell Aerospace - Sensing Guidance and Navigation. You will be instrumental in designing, planning and coordinating work teams, as well as providing technical support. You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities. You will interface and exchange with internal and external customers, vendors and suppliers throughout the lifecycle of the product.

Key Responsibilities

• Full Software Product Design Lifecycle (Requirements, design, architecture, implementation, integration, testing, release, and continuous feedback)
• Embedded systems development in C/C++, Python, and scripting languages
• Real-time embedded software development proficiency
• Hardware and software debug with lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, etc )
• Verification, Validation, test plan creation, and peer reviews
• Certification (DO-178B/C, MAP-C, etc.)
• Software and Algorithm development skills
• Feature Definition and Design Tradeoffs
• Task Estimation (FAR-15/TINA), Planning, Earned Value Tracking, and project metrics
• Software Sub-team Leadership/Work Direction

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 5+ years of embedded hard real-time software development experience
• US citizenship/security clearance eligible

WE VALUE

• Understanding various software development lifecycles (Waterfall, Kanban, Scrum)
• Previous experience with embedded systems, real time systems development, IoT devices, serial communications, hardware / software debugging, reading schematics
• 3-5+ years of full lifecycle DO-178B/C DAL-A, PTCRB process experience in a regulated product environment
• Knowledge of software configuration management, change management and DevOps automation practices
• Diverse and global team and collaboration
• Effective communicator internal to the team, stakeholders, and customers
• Wide degree of creativity, latitude, and interest in learning new things
• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
• Ability to find the correct balance between demand and capacity when establishing priorities for the organization.
• Analytical skills & software development skills
• Experience with Matlab, Simulink, Greenhills, VHDL, ARM, and Math Modeling
