Job Details
If you are hired for this position, you will receive $200 upon successful performance and consistent employment in June at the completion of the school year if referred by a Grand Forks Public School current employee. When applying, please note Employee Referral is how you found out about the position and Human Resources will follow up with you. Current district employees with scheduled hours are not eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
We offer the following terms of employment options:
Terms of Employment: 12 (twelve) months
Full-time Hours/days: 2:00pm to 11:00pm, M-F, 40 hrs/week
Part-time Hours/days: 6:00pm to 10:00pm, M-F, 20 hrs/week
Hours may vary daily depending on tasks
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Qualifications: Basic knowledge of proper housekeeping, floor care, and maintenance procedures; ability to learn proper equipment operation and new procedures; human relations skills; ability to lift sixty (60) pounds.
Job Goal: Maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform general custodial duties including floor care and general cleaning.
2. Maintain outside appearance of building, walks, and alley.
3. Perform snow removal.
4. Assist other building personnel with special projects.
5. Acquire general knowledge of building mechanical systems.
6. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the building manager or the custodial supervisor.
Performing the job duties of this position requires the following physical demands: lift fifty (50) lbs. occasionally, additional occasional lifting less than 50 lbs., reaching, standing, walking, carrying, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, and/or crawling.
Reports To: Head Custodian
