System One is currently seeking a Safety Consultant on a 12 month contract position located in Eau Claire, WI,

Safety Responsibilities:

• Position is responsible to provide safety consulting services to clients.
• Responsible to recognize, monitor and make recommendations to ensure that workplace safety hazards are corrected through on-site audits, consulting, ergonomic assessments and interventions according to OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate on safety policy development and training.
• This position will primarily serve a plant(s) or area(s), however, they may also be requested to assist with other departments within that business area.
• In each Region positions will be responsible to administer the electric and gas public safety program.
• Represent Company Safety at the BU Gas Facilities
• Overall help with Gas Contractor Safety
• Incident response/ investigations from company perspective
• Availability for PMs for Safety questions, issues and resolutions
• Work with Corporate IH and Safety through updated initiatives
• Communicate corporate safety to Gas BU
• Work with additional internal safety stakeholders i.e., Damage Prevention, PSMS/ IEP, Contractor Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Gas Standards etc.
• Field verification of Critical Controls/ CRM
• Facilitate Event Learnings with the partnership with company
• Regular travel between BU Gas facilities
• Periodically travel to each asset; inspect facility equipment, operations, maintenance processes for compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
• Complete daily rounds (in field)
• Attend Plan of the Day (POD) meetings
• Weekly Reporting
• Monthly Safety Updates/ Reporting (Gas Specific)
• Incident Investigations
• Safety Sharing
• Audit contractor PJBs/JSAs and conduct quality observations (daily)

Safety Requirements:

• Natural Gas Pipeline/ Facility Experience (Power Plant/Energy Supply)
• Working knowledge of OSHA Compliance
• Any associated certifications and/ or accreditations helpful

Duration: 12 months
Location: Eau Claire, WI
Pay Rate: $58-66.50/hr
