Line Cook

Johnny Delmonico's is hiring for a part-time Line Cook/Broiler Chef position for evening shifts. The position pays between $18-$22/hour.

Broiler Chef: The broiler chef is a cornerstone of our steakhouse, ensuring the cut and temperature of Johnny Delmonico's steaks is upheld to the highest standard.

Title: Line Cook

Work Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Reports to: Kitchen Manager or Chef

Position Summary: This role prepares food to the exact Chefs specifications. Line cook role consists in preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces). The line cook assists with menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.

Essential Functions:

Cooking and preparing all menu items in accordance standards set by the Chef
Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line
Food preparation and portioning prior to service
Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time

Key Requirements:

Experience in full service restaurant is desired
Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients and equipment
Solid references
Flexible schedule
Task-driven individual

Qualifications:

Candidates should have professional kitchen experience, including working a hot line and grill.
