Job Details

This person filling this role will be a valuable member of our leadership team, assisting in the implementation of EAC's overall business strategy. The Accounting Manager position has potential for future ownership in the company as an active shareholder.

He or she will be expected to prepare and review financial statements, using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. Some of the engagements will be compilation reports, subject to SSARS standards. He or she will also prepare/review sales & use tax returns and various payroll tax returns and other reports. Furthermore, the person filling this role will assist in providing advisory/outsourced CFO services to clients. He or she will communicate frequently with clients and be a main point of contact for many of them. We are a client-centric firm, meaning we place heavy emphasis on their satisfaction and comfort with us as their advisors.

The Accounting Manager works under the supervision of the CEO, but most of their duties are performed with little or no supervision. In turn, the Accounting Manager will supervise several staff throughout the year.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day activities of our CAAS practice, including but not limited to -

Prepare, review, and issue compilation reports
Prepare, review, and issue write-up reports
Lead important initiatives related to technology and process improvements
Communicate with various members of client's team
Prepare and review sales & use tax returns
Manage our client payroll platform
Prepare payroll tax returns
Ensure all deadlines are met (client and internal)
Skills/Experience

CPA license is required
4+ years of public accounting experience
2+ years of client management experience
Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to change tasks quickly and efficiently
Excellent analytical and time management skills
