We are looking for a self-starter to join our team as Network Specialist in Hillsboro, ND. The purpose of this position is to provide support of our enterprise business systems, analysis to the assigned factory site, beet receiving stations, and they may support the Quality Lab. This position is required to provide backup support to other factories and beet receiving stations, Technical Services Center. This position also requires participation in an afterhours, weekend and holiday on-call rotation.

The principal accountabilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.
• Supports desktop and laptop computers, LAN, WLAN, and WAN hardware and software, commercial application packages, and applications developed and written by in-house personnel.
• Administers network and email accounts in an Active Directory/Azure environment and Office 365, enforces user controls with Microsoft Group Policies and Endpoint Configuration Manager. Tests and installs new software and computer hardware and applies patches and updates to all systems.
• Supports on-prem systems, including LIMS/PIMS, Business Objects, SAP, and AS400 clients. Applies upgrades, patches, and fixes to commercial applications, including Microsoft Office apps and Windows operating systems.
• Supports iPhones, iPads, and other mobile devices with Mobile Device Management tools.
• Installs and maintains network infrastructure at assigned site(s). Assists other sites as needed.
• Provides 24/7 technical support to beet receiving stations during harvest, including installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, training users, and ensuring equipment operates properly to facilitate efficient harvest operations.
• Makes recommendations for major equipment repairs or replacement to the Network Supervisor and I&O Manager. Evaluates and plans network systems upgrades and recommends resource requirements to maintain and/or expand service levels.
• May be called upon to review new hardware and software and provide recommendations to meet business requirements. Monitors current hardware and software capabilities, changes, etc., to provide appropriate recommendations.
• Participates in the development of technical standards and best practices, provides resolution of complex network problems, and identifies and evaluates new products.
• Monitors, prioritizes, and responds to Help Desk tickets in a timely manner, and provides follow-up appropriately. Unusual problems are referred to the Network Supervisor and/or Manager of Infrastructure and Operations for discussion before resolution.
• Provides one-on-one training to end-users as needed to ensure the effective utilization of IT resources with constant top-of-mind awareness of cybersecurity best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this position requires technical knowledge of personal computers, local and wide area networks (LANS and WANS) and associated equipment, network communications and protocols, server hardware, software, and a technical knowledge of Microsoft server and desktop operating systems and other products typically gained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with one year of related experience. Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization are critical. A valid driver's license is required and reliable transportation is required.
