The Large Market Account Associate is a key contributor within the Customer Development function and manages Customer relationships with the large and jumbo channels to satisfy, retain, and grow Surest (formerly Bind)'s customers. The Large Market Account Associate will be the ongoing day-to-day point of contact for assigned Customers working in partnership with the lead Account Partner. This role is part of a dedicated Customer Development team responsible for building outstanding Customer relationships with Surest (formerly Bind).

The position will require 20% travel on average to visit customers, attend critical industry meetings, and participate in key Large Market field events.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support day-to-day needs of complex Plan Sponsor engagements, including supporting overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, communications, and renewal
  • Serves as the day to day contact, responds to questions and concerns to ensure customer success and proper account management, such as plan and performance reviews, tailored marketing, and communications, and ensuring the resolution of escalated or sensitive cases
  • Develops, provides input, and monitors account projects and plans tracking key account plan milestones to ensure growth and risk mitigation objectives are on track
  • Understand customers' business challenges, health and wellness strategy, industry trends and partner with lead Account Partner on how Surest (Formerly Bind) can help them achieve their objective
  • During the Implementation Process, work closely with Plan Sponsor to establish a strong working relationship and understanding of customer needs, structure, and path to success
  • Participate in open enrollment/member recruitment activities as requested
  • Participate in user acceptance testing to validate solutions meet requirements
  • Monitor the service model performance and details, identifying and resolving issues and prioritizing and delivering on improvements

Required Qualifications:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Health Insurance/Heath Care industry experience
  • Life, Health and Accident license; can be obtained upon hire
  • Solid account management experience specifically working with large employer HR function
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel are ideal)

  • Ability to organize and schedule people and tasks to develop realistic action plans

  • Demonstrated results orientation and ability to execute on goals
  • Ability to manage high volume of details with precision and excellence in short and inflexible timeframes

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
