SUMMARY:

Coordinates, directs, and participates in, personally or through Supervisors, Leads, and Production Operators, the planning and execution of production activities to ensure the manufacture of high-quality products that meet customer requirements, are delivered on time, and achieve cost goals. Participates in the overall strategic planning and direction of manufacturing activities. Directly oversees and supervisors the Production Supervisors for all shifts, and ensures alignment, cooperation, and collaboration between all production staff and shifts. Ensures competency of production staff through individual and group training, performance and productivity goal setting, ongoing evaluation, and motivation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Management or related field and five or more years of management experience in a fast paced, mixed model manufacturing or job shop environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to create and maintain an accountability culture and lead by example.
  • Ability to encourage and motivate staff to achieve quality and performance objectives.
  • Ability to plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to meet all customer requirements and on-time delivery expectations.
  • Ability to develop and analyze capacity planning information and data in order to determine future staff and equipment needs.
  • Ability to develop functional area expertise throughout the plant regarding the knowledge and use of the ERP system to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and effectively present information to other department managers and the plant employee groups.
  • Knowledge of and experience with MS Office products Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the use of a modern ERP software for planning and management of daily operations.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning ability.
  • Ability to conduct performance assessments and communicate effectively during difficult situations.
