Responsibilities

The BIM Manager is involved in the strategy, process, modeling, and coordination of projects. This is an enterprise position and will coordinate/develop BIM efforts & strategies across Mayo sites in Rochester, Florida, Arizona, and the Mayo Clinic Health System. This person has a thorough knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) computer applications, 3D design, and construction documents. The individual manages 3D models of complex projects or multiple small projects and will assist with design validation and model maintenance. Assists multiple departments in maintaining and further developing BIM strategy and implementation. Will work cooperatively with leadership of all divisions of Facilities services.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Master's Degree from an accredited Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design School, Computer Drafting, Construction Management or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. A minimum of 10 years working experience with Autocad / Revit software within a design firm or a related field. 5 years' experience as a BIM manager for large scale Architecture, Engineering or Construction firm supervising other BIM managers and coordinating branch office's BIM standards, processes and policies is preferred. Advanced knowledge of 3D BIM and of appropriate platforms such as GIS & Autodesk products, Revit, AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, V-Ray, Enscape, Sketch-up, etc. Experience in teaching and training and or overseeing education of AutoCAD & Revit Design Tech's, Interior Designers, Architects, and misc. Revit users.Revit certifications. Modeling of all building components and equipment. Creating, modifying families to meet project specifications. Clash detection. Ability to use Windows Explorer for file organization. Demonstrate organizational, collaboration, and communication skills. Create 3D models from 2D documents. Ability to read and understand contract design documents. Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word or Google Sheets/Docs. Solid understanding of the design, documentation, and construction process. General knowledge of construction systems and layout. Revit experience is necessary. Prioritize multiple tasks and ability to meet deadlines.
