To be a good fit for this Electrical Engineer opportunity, you should have:
  • A bachelor's or associate's degree in engineering (ideally electrical engineering) or a related field
  • 3+ years of strong experience in Electrical Engineering including:
    • Basic knowledge of national electric code and IPC standards, and an understanding of how to problem solve and to navigate these documents to find answers
    • Experience with basic circuit diagrams and the ability to construct them for a customer's application
    • Experience with low to medium voltage applications
    • The ability to read / interpret electrical schematics
    • The ability to create wire tables
    • An understanding and willingness to guide customers to electrical solutions for their products
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suites programs including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and especially intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas & functions, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Motivation to research and learn new tasks, processes, and product applications you may not already know, and to reach out to contacts and resources as part of this process
  • A strong sense of urgency to meet quick turnaround times
Electrol was established in 1961 as a panel builder for large medical equipment. The company expanded into cable and harness assemblies throughout the 1960s and moved to a larger facility in Nashotah, Wisconsin in the early 1970s. The company continued to expand its capabilities and customer base through strategic investments and moved to Hartland, Wisconsin in 1995. Electrol was acquired by IMS Companies in 1998, then moved to its current location in New Berlin, Wisconsin in 2022.
