Please note while the role is remote, applicants should be located in the state of IL or WI.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SALT Tax Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent, 100% remote position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. As a SALT Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing state and local tax returns, sales and use tax, and other related tax matters. The ideal candidate will have a CPA or EA certification and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage state and local tax returns for multiple entities
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local tax laws and regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders on sales and use tax matters
  • Conduct research on SALT tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Assist with tax planning and forecasting
  • Review and analyze financial statements to identify tax savings opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including tax authorities and external auditors
  • Manage and mentor junior tax team members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or EA certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant SALT tax experience
  • Strong understanding of state and local tax laws and regulations
  • Experience with sales and use tax
