Job Summary

This role be a part of the Actuarial Tool & Utilization team and will work closely with other pricing teams to review the pricing of our Homeowners products. The team is responsible for the creation and updating of an actuarial pricing system as well as maintaining tools and infrastructure for regional pricing teams to utilize. In addition, this role and team will contribute to the development and improvement of ratemaking methodologies, conduct actuarial analysis, and support implementation into rating plans or rate revisions as well as new product plan implementation.

We are hiring at Actuarial Senior Analyst or Actuary level based on experience, exams completed and credentials. This will be further discussed in the interview process.

Compensation Minimum:$78,400 / year

Compensation Maximum:$144,400 / year

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Automate manual processes using Python.
  • Create, maintain, and improve upon existing data parsing scripts.
  • Completes and enhances data validation processes to deliver key pricing datasets.
  • Leads Pricing on various data efforts including dataset development and consultation on data and analytical development.
  • Contributes to recommendations and significant revisions to ratemaking methodologies.
  • Develops relationship with core business partners and provide insights and solutions to address specific business concerns.
  • Explores new actuarial concepts, statistical models, and data sources to deliver innovative solutions for the business.
  • Assist with the development of pricing for new products and rating structures.
  • Assist with development of classification ratemaking methodologies and models.

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on the selected candidate's location. Education & Licenses

  • Must be working toward actuarial designation or have obtained the Associate designation
  • Bachelor's Degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Statistics or other related quantitative discipline or equivalent experience / education.

Travel Requirements

  • This position requires travel up to 5% of the time.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating complex data to multiple business partners.
  • Knowledge and understanding of underwriting guidelines and concepts and the impact to rates.
  • Knowledge and understanding of property and casualty products, pricing, rates and industry trends.
  • Knowledge, understanding and demonstrated experience performing statistical/actuarial analysis and data forecasting and modeling techniques.
