Responsibilities
- As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a vital role in processing the company's weekly payroll. We are seeking a reliable professional with an unwavering commitment to confidentiality, meticulous attention to detail, and availability to work regular hours, particularly during critical periods such as Monday through Wednesday and year-end.
- Process a high-volume, variable weekly union payroll, handling anywhere from 60 to 120 employees across 40 to 60 different projects nationwide.
- Calculate and process manual layoff checks accurately, manage garnishments, and handle subsistence pay, as well as submit certified payrolls and complete other relevant payroll-related projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience.
- Strong preference for candidates with Union/Construction payroll experience, as it will greatly contribute to your success in understanding industry-specific requirements.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential, enabling you to perform accurate calculations and effectively manage data.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred, although familiarity with other payroll systems will be considered.
- Exposure to multi-state payroll procedures will be advantageous in this role.
- High School Diploma or GED is required, and additional education is beneficial.
