Position: Healthcare Engineering Technician 2


- Maintain and manage medical and clinical equipment using the Medical Equipment Management Plan and asset management software.
- Install, calibrate, and repair complex biomedical equipment and systems, including network connections.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Conduct in-service education for clinical and technical staff on important medical devices and systems.
- Serve as a professional mentor and coach for clinical and healthcare technology management (HTM) staff.
- Travel to other Mayo Clinic sites and work on-call or overtime as needed.

- Must have one of the following:
- Associate of Applied Science degree from a Biomedical Electronics Program.
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, electronics, or related field with 3 years of medical equipment service experience.
- Associate Degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or related field with 3 years of medical equipment service experience.
- US Military Training in Biomedical Electronics.
- Knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, biology, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with test tools for medical equipment maintenance.
- Understanding of clinical terminology and computer systems.
- Advanced level of professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:
- AAMI ACI Certification.
- Authorization to work in the United States without Mayo Clinic sponsorship.

- Competitive compensation: $34.25 - $47.96 per hour.
- Eligibility for comprehensive benefits.
- Full-time schedule: 80 hours per pay period.
- Monday to Friday with flexibility for extended hours and weekend projects.
