Our employees’ impact can take many forms. In this role, the Transmission Sourcing Strategist will support and lead aspects of the Sourcing department’s processes to improve operations.

Some of the details of the day-to-day include:

* Lead processes to ensure internal teams have necessary equipment, materials, or services.   
* Recommend and execute continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, streamline workflow and increase accuracy of projects.
* Create and foster vendor relationships to maintain purchase agreements, materials sourcing, and service arrangements.  
* Serve as key point of contact for internal coworkers on material needs and project planning.  
* Research, communicate, and adjust practices for changes in supply chain, product availability, and other changes that could adversely impact the company’s ability to procure materials and services.
* Manage material supply contract on critical large transmission projects.  

Qualifications:

We’re seeking candidates with a wide range of skills who can understand disparate needs of various internal stakeholders and guide them through the sourcing process. Some examples of what we’re looking for include:

* A successful candidate will be able to manage the small details of a project including deadlines, while keeping the bigger picture value and vision front and center throughout the project development and implementation.
* There is a lot of innovation in our industry, and we want positive, resilient people who can independently prioritize multiple projects.
* Ability to thoroughly research a topic and present recommendations with effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of purchasing methods, terminology, techniques, and familiarity with laws will allow the best candidate to start learning early. Knowledge of energy industry would be preferred.
* Selected applicants will be required to complete a pre-interview assessment.
