Responsibilities include:
  • In-depth knowledge of reliability analysis to gather and examine data from field source and correlate data for analysis using industry standard techniques, principles and procedures.
    • Data analysis techniques include:
      • Statistical Process Control
      • Reliability modeling and prediction
      • Fault Tree Analysis
      • Weibull Tree Analysis
      • Six Sigma (6σ) Methodology
    • Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA)
    • Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
  • Work with Quality and Sustaining Engineering teams to establish, measure and maintain reliability budgets, models, dashboards, identify priorities, root cause analysis, issue resolution. Ensure all reliability line items in the business plan are justified and prioritized
  • Responsible for identifying the critical initiatives required to meet reliability and maintenance cost objectives. Facilitating risk assessments as needed to justify and prioritize reliability improvements.
  • Effective use of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems. Perform detailed engineering calculations involving simple tests, low samples sizes, field service coordination.
  • Support field service team with establishing maintenance cost goals, and identifying top initiatives for each system to reduce failure rates and costs and necessary improvement projects.
  • Acts as project manager of the reliability action plan ensuring progress on all items for both internal manufacturing and externally for suppliers.
  • Responsible for identifying field issues, facilitating root cause failure analysis, and coordinating improvement plans, and documenting long term corrective action.
  • Train, develop, and coach internal resources and key suppliers on reliability principals and procedures.
  • Report supplier reliability performance and quality to management
  • Gathers information to evaluate supplier processes to determine applicable quality and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Issues supplier corrective actions and provide proper follow-up for quality system and product nonconformances.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Reliability reports, dashboards, trend reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Weibull++ / Reliasoft Suite or equivalent
  • Leading cross-site and cross-function task force to resolve issues
  • Hands-on approach to testing and issue resolution
  • Data collection, cataloging, and making available for usage
  • Root Cause Analysis tools and Corrective Action Systems
  • Advanced quality and reliability planning tools (flowcharts, FMEA's, control plans)
  • Statistical methods (Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control SPC, etc)
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Auditing, Corrective Action Systems
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)

Qualifications:

Experience in industry of five or more years desired. Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering strongly desired. Certified Reliability Engineer is preferred.
