An Advanced Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for a wide range of quality inspection operations including hand inspections, metrology inspection, receiving inspection, and tooling certification. Supports troubleshooting efforts to reduce manufacturing non-conformities. Demonstrates creativity and technical knowledge in developing inspection solutions.

Essential Duties:
• Operate metrology equipment and hand tools for the inspection of aircraft components and manufacturing tools.
• Accomplish tooling certification and maintain records of calibration in the tool certification database
• Maintain inspection programs to operate a CMM for the inspection of aircraft components using CAD and GD&T data.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement correction action to improve product quality.
• Conducts Material Review Boards with guidance from quality management.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the quality assurance manual.
• Support standardization and continuous improvement of current and future dimensional inspection processes.
• Provide support to other quality assurance personnel as required
• Provide team support to manufacturing, tooling, engineering, and planning.

Education and/or Experience:
Two years QA experience in inspection of composite aircraft parts, assemblies, and materials. Working knowledge of manufacturing methods and tooling, Quality Systems, and FAA regulations. CMM experience a plus.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
• Able to read, interpret and inspect to drawings, procedures and process specifications with the ability to articulate findings
• Proficient in the application of CMM inspections using a variety of equipment and softwares. Faro and Polyworks preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of GD&T
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and all related programs
• Problem solving and analytical skills for root-cause analysis and troubleshooting
• Spatial and mechanical aptitude
