The Director, Continuous Improvement will play a key role in building and communicating the Lean Roadmap across the company and lead Cirrus employees along the Lean journey in an effort toward achieving company goals that enhance value and experience in the eyes of our customers. This position will be responsible for driving continuous improvement efforts by developing and deploying best practice tools, methods and processes that reduce waste, promote data-driven decision making, and robust problem solving. This role will ensure we're developing the Lean culture and building the capabilities of our people to support the growth and evolution of our fast-growing business.

• Coach and champion teams, managers and members through the process of leading, defining, and developing continuous improvement activities that are designed to support key facility initiatives and drive results.
• Oversee Lean development at Cirrus Aircraft and track annual continuous improvement gains.
• Define clear Lean project targets/goals that are tangible and sustainable to the bottom line driving toward operational excellence.
• Design & execute a corporate strategy to establish Lean awareness and build team member commitment to Lean principals across the organization.
• Leader and facilitator of Kaizen events (Rapid Improvement Events). Trains Kaizen team leaders to facilitate events across the corporation
• Dynamic facilitation of Lean training curriculum that integrates real-world, business specific situations in order to drive continuous improvement with sustainable results.
• Conduct external research and benchmarking to ensure strategy, content and delivery models are positioned to deliver best-in-class results.
• Define annual objectives, action plans, resources, milestones & metrics of success. Assess and measure programs to ensure relevancy to changing business.
• Manage, monitor and ensure performance to budget.
• Secondary responsibilities include: Assist with implementation of performance management for Lean, engagement and feedback surveys, new team member training.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent in experience and training
• Minimum of five years related experience deploying Lean theories
• Demonstrated leadership of kaizen events
• Lean Practitioner or equivalent certification
• Comfortable interacting with all levels of management including top level executives
• Tolerant of ambiguity; able to chart a way forward even when the path is not clear
• Accomplished presenter able to deliver succinct messages, enroll & garner commitment from senior leaders across the company in both formal and informal settings, and engage participants in development efforts
• Optimistic yet realistic; positive attitude; ability to work in fast-paced, growing environment
• Coaching skills and strong personal influence style
• Must be outgoing, high energy, and enjoy frequent interaction with others.
• Demonstrated ability to build constructive, collaborative business relationships across cultures and organization levels
