Job Summary:
Repair non-conforming issues on composite aircraft.
Understand NCR disposition, diagnose, and communicate with PA, Engineering, and Line Manager to come up with a solution. Prepare surface prep area, cut fiberglass, mix resin and adhesive, and apply repair.
Lay up and fabricate composite aircraft parts, major components, and structures utilizing prepreg or wet-lay lay-ups on a repetitive basis.
Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, standard operating procedures, and job instruction sheets to determine assembly sequence, mold requirements, measurements, and allowable tolerance.
Occasionally responsible for drawing control, planning, and engineering processes and technician must maintain a low repair, rework and/or rejection rate on the parts that require re-work.
Attention to detail required. Must be able to work as part of a team. Ensures that all assigned work areas are kept clean, orderly, and presentable at all times. Applies the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety). Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions. Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties. May be assigned to different work areas as production needs require.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Department Supervisor, Line Manager, or appropriate designee

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; or one to twelve months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior lay-up experience is not required, but would be beneficial in meeting requirements of this department.
